You are not a drop in the ocean, you are the entire ocean in a drop. ~ Rumi
When we cultivate rest, we cultivate a sense of well-being, an ability to stay anchored, easeful and open to the unfolding of life and experiences. This well-being allows us to be present with circumstances as they are inside or outside of ourselves, and be open to life just as it is. Less striving, more un-doing gives us the opportunity to rest back into the stillness of our true nature. Cultivating deep rest requires that we show up for ourselves and our self care and commit to tending to ourselves with love and care.
The new moon gifts us with a clean slate, a time to allow it’s purifying and restorative energy to aid us in rejuvenation. It is a time for internal reflection and planting seeds of intention for the weeks to come. Explore the art of rest through embodied practices of yoga asana for restoration, yoga nidra and journaling and support a deeper connection to physical and mental stability and the ease and rejuvenation that this lunar cycle evokes.
